How a work sample is billed
You pay for the minutes used, never the minutes booked
Live voice work sample
6 credits a minute, billed in 10-second steps (1 credit is 10 seconds). Every take uses at least 10 credits.
Written work sample
25 credits, whatever the length.
Never cut off
When a work sample starts, its full time cap is set aside. When it ends, you pay for the time used and the rest goes back to your balance. A call never stops for credits.
A Job Seeker who talks for 7 minutes and 21 seconds uses 45 credits.

Yearly unit prices spread the yearly price over a year of credits, so the 2 free months show in each one. Unit prices are rounded to the cent, and the price of a credit to a tenth of a cent. Enterprise is set with you on contract terms and has no yearly discount. A top-up is for a company on a plan. Billed in 10-second steps: 1 credit is 10 seconds, 6 credits a live minute, at least 10 credits a take, 25 credits a written work sample.

The fine print, in plain words
What is a credit?
A credit is how Luminid measures a work sample, and every plan adds a set number of them each month. A live voice work sample uses 6 credits a minute, billed in 10-second steps (1 credit is 10 seconds), and every take uses at least 10 credits. A written work sample is 25 credits. So a 20-minute voice work sample uses at most 120 credits, and a 13-minute one uses 78.
When are credits spent?
Work samples, talent-pool invites and open roles past your plan's count. Reading evidence, moving people through your pipeline, posting your included roles and answering applicants never use credits.
What happens to the time a take does not use?
When a work sample starts, its full time cap is set aside. When it ends, you pay for the time actually used and the rest goes straight back to your balance. A call is never cut off because of credits.
What happens to unused credits?
Unused credits stay on your balance for 12 months, whether they came with your plan or a top-up. Your whole company shares one balance.
Is there a minimum?
Plans start at $550 a month with Starter. Top-ups, for companies on a plan, start at $50.
Is there a free plan?
No. Every company is on a plan, and every plan includes every feature. Before you choose one, a person shows you Luminid in a live demo.
Can I pay yearly?
Yes. Pay for 10 months and get 12, which is 2 months free, on every plan except Enterprise. Pro, for example, is $20,000 a year. A yearly plan still adds its credits on the 1st of each month, and each month's credits last 12 months. Enterprise is set with you on contract terms, with no yearly discount.
Does a retake count?
Yes. Each take uses credits, a retake included. Plan for 2 takes per Job Seeker, since most people treat the first as a practice run.
Do Job Seekers pay?
Never. Job Seekers never pay for anything on Luminid. Proving a skill, keeping a verification and sharing it are free for every person.
Can I try Luminid first?
Request access. A person sets up every hiring team, one at a time. Tell us what you are hiring for and we will walk you through it before you choose a plan.
How do I buy a plan?
Choose a plan on this page. A person sets it up with you and sends the invoice. There is no card checkout yet. Prices are in US dollars, and Business, Scale and Enterprise are invoiced on your contract terms.
